⭐ What is it? 

Supplier Performance Review is a new workflow in Supply Chain Management that lets your team carry out structured, internal assessments of your suppliers.  

Using your own data (e.g. nonconformance history, audit ratings, checklist scores) you can build a clear picture of how each supplier is performing, make formal approval decisions, and determine next steps, all without any supplier involvement.

✅ Assess supplier performance without involving the supplier  

Performance Reviews are conducted entirely internally. Your team evaluates how a supplier is performing using your own data (NC history, audit ratings, checklist scores) without needing to request anything from the supplier or share results via the Portal. 

✅ A dedicated workflow for ongoing performance monitoring  

Full Assessments are designed for periodic supplier data collection and assessment. Performance Review gives you a separate, structured process specifically for evaluating how suppliers are performing against your expectations between those formal checks. 

✅ Tailor reviews to the supplier type 
Build different templates for different parts of your supply base. Choose from checklists, doclists, risk assessment and decision tree models, and enable only the stages you need. A critical ingredient supplier can follow a more rigorous process than a low-risk packaging supplier, for example. 

✅ Raise corrective actions against your own team, not just the supplier  

If a performance issue points to an internal process gap, you can raise an Internal Corrective Action Record directly from the review record, alongside or instead of a Supplier Corrective Action Record.  

✅ Bring your performance evidence together into a formal approval decision 
Risk assessments, checklist scores and Corrective Actions (internal & supplier) all feed into a single review record, with a dedicated Approval stage that summarises everything before you update a supplier's status. 

✅ Turn review findings into a clear path forward  

Use the configurable Decision Tree stage to define structured outcomes based on review results. From the final stage of the record you can also schedule follow-up reviews or trigger a supplier audit directly, so next steps are agreed and in the system before the review closes. 

⭐ How it works 

1. Set up a template Start by creating a Performance Review Template. Choose which stages to include, which checklists or doclists to use, what rating scales to apply, and which risk assessment or decision tree models are relevant. You can also set a scheduling frequency so records are created automatically. 

2. Assign it to your suppliers Use the bulk program option to assign the template to multiple suppliers at once. You can adjust individual program settings, enabling or disabling stages, swapping checklists, without changing the underlying template. 

3. Complete the review record When a review record is created, assessors work through up to seven configurable stages: 

• Details: supplier overview including current approval status, scope and previous assessment results 

• Performance Analysis: rate requirements against your checklist and/or doclist, record findings, gather evidence and register a corrective action against a requirement  

• Nonconformance / Corrective Action: manage Corrective Actions raised in the previous stage; assign them as either Internal or Supplier Corrective Action Records  

• Risk Assessment: Complete a risk assessment using your configured model 

• Decision Tree: work through a structured decision tree to reach a defined outcome 

• Approval: set an overall performance rating, update approval status and scope, and review a stage-by-stage summary 

• Post Performance Review: review historical results and schedule future reviews or supplier audits

• Supplier Performance Review is available to configure now.  

• Performance review records are internal only and are not visible to suppliers in the Supplier Portal.
