We’re excited to share the latest updates to Ideagen Safe Food. This month’s releases bring multi-file attachments, a new Identifier for Batch Programmes, richer Auditing grids, editable start times in Cleaning records, API and SCIM improvements, and a range of fixes.

 ⭐ Attachments: Multiple Files & Checklist Downloads

Why this matters: Attaching and retrieving files should take fewer steps.

What’s new:

• Multiple files can now be selected and uploaded in one action when using Actions > Add Attachment, across all record types
• The combined size of files in a single upload is limited to 200MB; if it is exceeded, a file size error is shown and none of the files are uploaded
• A download button now appears next to each file attached in the Add File / Link column of checklists, so you can retrieve a file without removing it

⭐ Batching Enhancements

Why this matters: Linking batch records to your own reference numbers makes integration simpler.

What’s new:

• New optional Identifier free-text field on the Batch Programme, up to 250 characters (letters, numbers and - _ : ; are allowed)
• The Batching POST API now uses programmeExternalId in place of programmeId, matching the Identifier on the Batch Programme
• createdAt can now be supplied through the Batching POST API

⭐ Auditing Grids Improvements

Why this matters: Clearer grids make it quicker to find and act on the audits that matter.

What’s new:

• New Category column on the Plan, Complete and Actions grids
• New Auditor(s) column on the Plan and Actions grids, and a new Score column on the Complete grid
• The Archive toggle has been replaced with a “Display archived records” dropdown, and grid styling and column spacing have been refined

⭐ Cleaning Records: Start & Completion Time

Why this matters: An accurate record of when cleaning started and finished supports a stronger audit trail.

What’s new:

• New Start Date column on Standard Cleaning Records and Cleaning in Place Records, auto-populated on click and editable
• Completion Date now captures and displays date and time, and can be edited; an error is shown if it is earlier than the Start Date

⭐ Complaints Module Enhancement

Why this matters: Categorising complaints accurately gives your team a clearer record.

What’s new:

• Nonconformance is now available as a fifth option in the Complaints Category field

 ⭐ API & Integration Improvements

Why this matters: Reliable APIs and identity provisioning make it easier to keep your systems in sync.

What’s improved:

• Customers, Materials, Suppliers and Final Products APIs — POST calls no longer create duplicate folders when the folder already exists
• Materials and Suppliers APIs — POST calls now return the created record data
• SCIM — the X-SCIM-Client-Id header is now returned

⭐ Usability Improvements

Why this matters: Small changes that make everyday tasks quicker.

What’s improved:

• Utilities > Reports — Add Query is now disabled and marked “(Deprecated)”; existing saved queries continue to display and run as before

⭐ Bug Fixes & Quality Improvements

We’ve resolved a number of customer-reported issues this release, including fixes for:

• Authentication — users are no longer logged out when re-authenticating
• Monitoring — record auto-save no longer loses user entries or returns a “Programme Id not specified” error
• Pre-Assessment — Notes entered on a new Pre-Assessment no longer update previously completed Pre-Assessments
• Schematics — Open in New Window now works when the user language is Spanish
• Receiving — the Completed By drop-down is now visible in the Delivery Checks grid when a programme has many tests

⭐ Reports & PDF Updates

What’s improved: Reports and PDFs now reflect the new fields added to your records. The Supplier Audit, Supplier Corrective Action and Internal Audit PDFs now include First Category, Second Category, Responsible (Action or Investigation) and Responsible (Review); the Corrective Action and Supplier Corrective Action reports now show Nonconformance Category 1 and Nonconformance Category 2; the Complaints PDF and reports now include Site, Country, Category and Notes, with the two “Number per complaints category” reports renamed “Number per Nonconformance” and the Complaints Export to Excel date format changed to yyyy-mm-dd; and the Raw Material Nonconformance report now includes a Supplier column.
