We’re excited to share the latest updates to Ideagen Safe Food. This month’s releases bring expanded document management controls, enhanced corrective action tracking, and a range of platform reliability improvements.

⭐ Documents Module Enhancements

Why this matters: Keeping sensitive documents secure and finding the right document quickly both matter. This release gives administrators finer control over document access and gives everyone a clearer view of the Documents grid.

What’s new:

• New role-based access controls let you restrict two system-level folders in Document Management, so sensitive documents are only visible to users with an explicitly granted role
• The Documents grid has been enhanced with additional columns — including document record ID, Responsible, and next review due date — plus a refreshed layout for improved clarity

⭐ Corrective Action Enhancements

Why this matters: Capturing the full picture on a corrective action from the moment it’s raised helps you track ownership and root cause without having to circle back later.

What’s new:

• Internal Audit corrective actions can now capture a second Category and a Responsible (Review) individual at the point of creation
• Supplier Audit corrective actions gain the same additional Category and Responsible fields

⭐ Supplier Performance Review Scheduling

Why this matters: Recurring supplier audits and performance reviews are easy to lose track of. Automated scheduling helps you stay ahead of what’s due next.

What’s new:

• A new Audit Scheduler proposes the next supplier audit date automatically, based on the previous audit date and audit frequency
• A new Performance Review Scheduler brings the same automated scheduling to supplier performance reviews

⭐ Bug Fixes & Quality Improvements

We’ve resolved a number of customer-reported issues this release, including fixes for:

• Monitoring Records — test status no longer fails to update
• Performance Review — the ‘Repeat’ Non-conformance Category now displays correctly in the Corrective Action Record
• Supplier Dashlet — Overall Risk Status on the Supplier dashlet now updates correctly when a new Performance Review record is created
• Signature Timestamps — corrected an issue showing the incorrect time
• Internal Audit Corrective Action — fixed an issue where the Nonconformance value wasn’t displaying and an extra asterisk appeared in Details
