When we have a complaint we look to see if the complainant has complained before and previously we would note the number. Now we are trying to link it to the actual record (see attached screenshot). We have added in a links section to the complaints module but when you try and search for a number nothing comes up even when using an astericks (see attached screenshot). The link to the incident module works OK (see attached screenshot) but we just seem to be unable to link within the same module.
Hi Duncan,
It would depend on what the form / questionnaire the complaint itself is called. For example, we have the Feedback / Complaints module and also Incidents, and the complaints form with ours is called ‘Feedback’, whereas incidents are ‘Incident’. In Admin - Question Manager - Events, what is your complaints form listed as? It may be that you need to update your search term to start with ‘Feedback’ when linking to another complaint.
It might also be worth checking that the link is linked to your complaints questionnaire / data - have you checked to make sure that the object type it is linked to is your complaints?
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Robert
The questionnaire is called complaints (see screenshot) so that is not the issue. I have tried adding a links section to our incident form and the same issue happens. I have also include a screenshot of the data source which clearly shows that the object name is prefixed with complaints.

Hi Duncan,
I’m sorry that this has not helped you. Have you checked in your Question Manager if the question type link is linked to your complaints questionnaire / data - is the question set up as ‘Affects (Other)’ type, and then the Object Type beneath that is set to Complaints?

I hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Robert
The incident and risk links were setup in the same way as the complaint and work OK without having to do anything else. I thought that it might have been a record to record issue within the same module but the incident one on the incident module works OK so it can’t be that.
