Hi all,
One of our divisions is changing their name from Cancer & Diagnostics to Core Clinical Services. Does anybody know of an easy way to update all the reports we already have set up for the division without having to go into them all and add in the new divisional name?
Has anybody else had any experience of this? All suggestions welcome.

Hi Frances, we has a restructure in our trust and it was not fun. InPhase does not have the ability to “bulk update” records, and manual cleanse is not fun.
Our solution was to create live connects and filter them on the level below - i.e. Teams/Services 1, 2, 3 below to Core Clinical Services. The only caveat to this is that it is a manual process - so you will need to update it anytime you add new service.
We are planning to use this for 1 year and revert back to filter by division and request for old data reports to be produced manually.
Otherwise, you can place a ticket request for the records to be updated however it will be development team doing it, as it is data overwrite.

My plan at the moment is to put a data transform on all our current live connects so that anything recorded as Cancer & Diagnostics shows on the reports as Core Clinical Services, and then manually update all the existing reports to select Core Clinical Services rather than Cancer & Diagnostics. Obviously this isn’t ideal as we have a lot of reports already set up, and it also doesn’t update any legacy data.

We had 3 divisions change, plus all sub levels. We could not do a data transform - so this may be a good solution for you :)
