I would like to apply a template to distribute a document, but I am only able to access this feature when we distribute the document for approval, not when the document is for ‘notified only’. 

 

Could you advise, please?

Have you looked at copyholder list templates?  These are pre-set banks of copyholders that can easily be added to a document Distribution tab.

You can then add a template from the Distribution tab.

I am able to apply a template to distribute to copyholders, but I am not able to apply one for ‘notified only’

Hi ​@JohnT Unfortunately that’s not possible.  A workaround could be to create a group in the People module with the name you need.  You can then add a person and filter to show that group, then you can add all users at once.
