Q-Pulse Version 7.3. We are about to Open the Audit module.
When I am completing a Audit and raising a NC it is taking me automatically into Incidents and not CA/CP module. Is this a set-up issue?
In the Incident module I can raise a Non-Conformance and CA/PA in a sub-tab is this enough for external auditor?
Why is it not taking me to CA/PA?
Why is it only taking me to Incidents?
Are these two modules meant to be connected?
When I raise a NC sometimes the actions arenot connected to the NC, does this mean if I raise and NC and action separately it will still be connected to the Audit?
Can I only open Audit and Incident module; and work solely from there to ensure all NCs and Actions are followed up? Is there a necessity to open CAPA?
The analysis tab, does this make a difference only have the Audit/Incident module in use?
Is there anything else I am missing about Audit - Incident and CA/PA?
Any guidance or advise you have would be gratefully appreciated.
Hi
How to Raise Audit Findings in the Incident Module – Quality Management (Professional)
The Incident module is great if you need the findings to be risk assessed.
You can manually add an existing NC with an audit from the Findings tab.

Hi Alan,
Great thank you, this has helped me get the link between the Audit and CA/PA automatically set up.
My manager wants CA/PA to be used and not incidents, so I will use that moving forward.
Can you check if I am able to get access to the E-Learning Ideagen Skills platform please? This would be really useful.
I am starting over again (as I was using what what previously set up ie. Audit to Incident) with CA/PA if there is any guidance cIdegan has can you send it to me.
Thanks again. Teresa
Hi
The best thing for switching back to CA/PA is to understand what information you need to capture and build a wizard that covers it, then make the wizard available to audits. Wizards allow you to force certain information to be mandatory when filling in the record and you can create pages asking for the information to make this easier for the user.
However, there will be some information you want to capture that you simply won’t know when you raise the record, for example the Root Cause. This will only become apparent when you go through your investigation and start closing actions and stages.
This is where mandatory field sets come in - you can set your mandatory field sets to make sure that a CA/PA cannot be closed without filling in certain fields.
And finally, I’d recommend having a look at CA/PA templates - this allows you to set the stages and actions you want the investigation to go down.
You can find all the articles for CA/PA configuration at User Guide – Quality Management (Professional) or watch the videos available on Ideagen Skills
Hi Alan,
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain. I will get on the elearning and take it from there.
The Wizards and Set Fields etc. I will work thru as I think we may have to tweak what is already there too.
Much appreciated.
Teresa
Good luck
