Additionally, this article will detail the information that is required for successful registration and why we require this information.

Create an account directly
To create an account within Ideagen Community, you can click the direct link below. This will open our registration page where you can create your very own account and start interacting with other members of the community.
Create an account from the sign-in menu
As an alternative to the above method, an account can also be created by clicking the Sign In button at the top right of any page within Ideagen Community.
A new window will appear asking for login credentials. At the base of this window is a section labelled ‘New to the Ideagen Community?’ and a button labelled Create an Account. Click this to begin the registration process.
Registration fields
To keep our community thriving, some information is required from the registering user. The table below details what information each field requires and why we ask for this information.

| Display Name | Your display name is the name that other Ideagen Community users will see when you post. You can use your full name or a pseudonym. |
| Email Address | Your work or business email address. This must be a real email address as it will be used for sending a verification email. Notification emails will also be sent to this address if you choose to subscribe to any categories or posts. |
| Region | Your region of origin. This will be displayed publicly on your profile page, and we use this information to understand where our users are joining us from. |
| Were you referred? | Have you been asked to join the community by an Ideagen employee? Please enter their name and they will receive recognition. |
| Password | There are no restrictions on the password you create. However, we do recommend that you use a strong password with at least 8 characters (including numbers, upper case characters and symbols). |
